1. The service

Hold On is an iOS app that helps you block apps and websites using Apple Screen Time / Family Controls, with schedules, limits, a shield screen, passes, and on-device review stats. Features may change as we improve the App.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be able to accept these Terms under the laws of your country. You sign in with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for your Apple ID and device.

3. Screen Time permission

Blocking requires Apple Screen Time permission. Without it, core features will not work. Apple’s system controls how permission and data access work; we do not override Apple’s limits.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Hold On offers auto-renewable subscriptions through the Apple App Store (StoreKit), for example:

• Monthly — billed monthly

• Yearly — billed yearly; may include a free trial for eligible Apple ID users (one introductory offer per subscription group, per Apple’s rules)

Prices are shown in the App and set in App Store Connect (including local currency). Apple may change displayed prices by region.

Auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.

Trial. If you start a free trial, unused time is forfeited when you buy a subscription where Apple applies that rule. After a trial, the paid plan begins unless you cancel in time.

Manage / cancel. Cancel or change plans in iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or App Store subscription management). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription by itself.

Restore. Use Restore purchase in the App to re-link an existing Apple subscription on a device.

Billing, refunds, and taxes for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. For refund requests, use Apple’s reportaproblem.apple.com (or the process Apple provides in your region).

5. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Hold On on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms. You may not reverse engineer, copy, or resell the App except as allowed by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to bypass Apple’s security or Screen Time systems illegally, or use Hold On in ways that violate law or others’ rights. Hold On is a self-control tool, not a guarantee of behavior or outcomes.

7. Health & results

Hold On does not provide medical, mental-health, or therapeutic advice. “Hours held,” awards, and similar stats are based on on-device block windows and App logic — they are not clinical measures.

8. Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that blocks will work in every OS version, device state, or after Apple system changes.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHAIGEXP LLC AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA OR DEVICE SETTINGS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (EXCLUDING APPLE’S SHARE WHERE APPLICABLE) OR (B) USD $50. Some places do not allow these limits; in those places, our liability is limited as far as the law allows.

10. App Store

You acknowledge the App is offered subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms / App Store terms. Apple is not responsible for support or for these Terms between you and us, except as Apple’s terms require. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this section where Apple’s terms say so.

11. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms, unless local law requires otherwise. Material changes will be posted at https://useholdon.app/terms-of-use with a new effective date.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or stop offering the App. Sections that should survive (including disclaimer, liability, and licenses already granted to Apple as needed) will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Azerbaijan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise. Courts in Baku, Azerbaijan will have jurisdiction, except where you have a non-waivable right to local courts.
